New Years Eve Champagne Jello Shot Recipe | Sparkly Jello Shots
We pour the champagne and toast the past year and the year ahead of us. That toast isn’t the only drink we have on New Year’s Eve. Make things more exciting with a New Years Eve champagne jello shot recipe.
This New Years Eve Champagne jello shots recipe for New Years Eve parties gives sparkling wine a new look. New Years Eve parties are all about celebrating with family and friends.
We could divide the night into two: the party before midnight and the party after midnight. The party before midnight is the celebration of the past year. The entire year was filled with memories, both good and bad.
Of course, we all know the good wouldn’t be as good without the bad. Then there’s the second part of the night, part two. Party number two is to celebrate the new year ahead of us and the memories we will make, good and bad.
We mark the difference between the two parties with a toast at midnight. This toast is champagne, and it is the marker between the two years. We don’t really overthink the symbolism of the champagne and the fact that it is at midnight or how it separates the party in two.
But we enjoy it, so we should use champagne more throughout the night as symbolism, a crossover of two years. There is no better to celebrate that symbolism than with a crossover cocktail.
Two worlds coming together like the two years are coming together; enter the New Years Eve champagne jello shot recipe.
New Years Eve Champagne Jello Shot Recipe | Sparkly Jello Shots
Jello shots are the perfect combination of two worlds: dessert, and cocktails. In fact, you may find it a struggle to call jello shots cocktails, but you can’t really call them snacks, either.
Jello shots are a combination of the two, and they are perfect for New Year’s Eve. The question is, how do we theme the jello shots to fit a New Year’s Eve party? The answer is using champagne as the source of alcohol in the jello shot.
Most jello shots are made with vodka or any clear alcohol. But we don’t have to stick with the norm. Instead, we can venture out and make a jello shot that is perfectly themed for the evening in more ways than one.
New Years Eve Champagne Jello Shot Recipe Ingredients
The ingredients for this recipe are few. However, it is not your average jello recipe. We will be making our own jello instead of using a boxed recipe. The goal is to give these jello shots a better appearance that is fitting for the glamour of New Year’s Eve decor.
We will need champagne for the alcohol, lemon juice, lime juice, ginger beer for the flavors, and unflavored gelatin and edible pearl dust. The recipe will be slightly different from what you’re used to when it comes to making jello.
However, that doesn’t mean it is not any more complicated than making jello from the box.
How to Make Champagne Jello Shots
Mix a small amount of edible pearl dust into champagne.
Pour in champagne and a few ounces of lemon juice, lime juice, and lemon beer into a pot.
Add gelatin into the pot and let it bloom for about 2 minutes.
Once the gelatin is fully bloomed, heat the mixture until it is dissolved. Only heat it enough for the gelatin to dissolve. Don’t bring it to a boil, so the alcohol does not cook out.
Once the gelatin is fully dissolved, add the remaining mixture of lemon juice, lime juice & ginger beer. Stir.
On a pre-lined sheet, pour in the mixture. Let it chill for 2 hours.
Once fully set, cut into squares. Add more edible pearl dust for extra shimmer.
