But there are multiple ways to make teriyaki chicken. Mostly, people make teriyaki chicken thighs in a cast iron skillet. The chicken is then cut into smaller pieces before being enjoyed.
But there is another way to make teriyaki chicken, a more hands-off approach. Instant Pots are pressure cookers that use a combination of pressure, heat, and steam to cook food faster.
Teriyaki chicken doesn’t take long to make with cast iron, so why use an Instant Pot? Chicken is an easy protein to cook, but that means it is also easy to mess up. Plenty of people eat overcooked chicken regularly.
Overcooked chicken is harsh, dry, and chewy. Instant Pot’s use of heat and steam will make sure your chicken is cooked to perfection but also retain its moisture. This way, you won’t have to worry much about overcooking the chicken.
The Instant Pot will automatically shut off at the end of the timer; depending on your model, it may even switch to warming if you’re not around. Not to mention, this recipe utilizes a homemade teriyaki sauce that is healthier than the pre-bottled stuff and very simple to make.
It is a win/win recipe with both nutrition and flavor in mind.
